Who we are
Makers Calculator is run by KJLabs. “We” and “us” on this page means KJLabs. You can contact us at hello@makerscalculator.com.
The short version
The calculators run in your browser. We don't use tracking cookies or sell data. We only hold your email address if you ask us to email you.
Calculator inputs
Numbers you type are processed in your browser and added to the page address so you can bookmark or share a calculation. We don't store them, unless you ask us to email a calculation to you, in which case they are used once to build that email.
If you use “Email me this calculation”, we use your email address to send that one email.
If you also tick the box for maker tips, we send a confirmation link first. You're only added to our list after you confirm (double opt-in). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Our legal basis is your request (for the calculation email) and your consent (for the tips list). We keep list addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Service providers
- Resend sends our emails and stores the subscriber list. It may process data in the United States under standard data protection safeguards.
- Vercel hosts this site. Like any web host, it keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability.
Analytics
If we add visitor statistics, we will use a cookieless, privacy-friendly service that doesn't identify you or track you across sites, and we will update this page.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Contact us at hello@makerscalculator.com.
